NAUGATUCK – Monica D. Poulin, age 83, beloved wife of the late Herman D. Poulin, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 17, 2021, at home in Naugatuck, CT surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Poulin was born on May 23, 1937 in Dickson City, PA, daughter of the late Stanley and Amelia (Fialkowski) Domin. Monica was a homemaker and 56-year resident of Monroe, CT and an active member of St. Jude Parish. Her life was centered around her family and friends and a passion for reading, antiques and collectables.
Monica is predeceased by her infant son Martin Poulin and sister Virginia Monczka. She is survived by her two children, daughter Linda Yacavone and her husband Michael of Naugatuck, her son Andrew Poulin of Monroe and her long-time companion Peter Jeffrey of Fairfield, as well as her three cherished grandchildren: Sarah Yacavone, Christopher Yacavone and Nicole Poulin

Arrangements - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck, CT. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow at Mount Saint Peter’s Cemetery in Derby. There are no calling hours and The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Monica’s memory to the non-profit organization, Companion Pet Rescue, 522 N Georges Hill Road, Southbury, CT 06488.
