NAUGATUCK- Molly D. Cobbol, 88, of 36 Woodland St., died Friday July 31, 2009 at the Glendale Center in Naugatuck..
Miss Cobbol was born in Naugatuck, July 28, 1921, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Mitrik) Cobbol and was educated in the local school system. She was a graduate of Naugatuck High School and retired in 1986 from Uniroyal- Chemical Division after 46 years of service working in Industrial Relations. She was an an active volunteer at the Waterbury Hospital for over 10 years, and a member of the Naugatuck Women's Club for over 25 years. She was also a volunteer for the American Red Cross at the Naugatuck Chapter where she knitted caps for newborn infants and was a volunteer for Southbury Training School making Bibs for the residents.
She leaves two brothers, George Cobbol and John Cobbol both of Naugatuck; one sister Mary Kotuby of Greenacres, Fla. and Vermont; 10 nieces and nephews and 18 grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday Aug. 7, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery, Naugatuck. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday Aug. 6th from 6 to 8 pm and on Friday morning from 9:30 am until the time of the service. Members of the Naugatuck Women's Club will meet at the funeral home on Thursday evening at 6 pm.
