PROSPECT- Minnie Wolvek, 94, passed away Saturday January 16, 2016 at Waterbury Hospital with her loving daughters by her side. She was predeceased by her husband L. Philip Wolvek on March 5, 1993 after 53 years of marriage.
Mrs. Wolvek was born January 19, 1921 in Brooklyn, NY Daughter of the late David and Fannie (Konkov) Davidoff.
She was a graduate of Girls Commercial High School in Brooklyn, NY. Minnie was an Administrative Assistant for many years prior to her retirement. In her free time Mrs. Wolvek was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Prospect Grange, and Senior Center.
Minnie is survived by two daughters Marcia and her husband Gerald Schultz of Prospect, and Patricia and her husband James Clifton of Dallas, TX; three grandchildren Dr. Scott Schultz of New Orleans, LA, Courtney B., and Jessica A. Clifton both of Dallas, TX; and her great granddaughter Sania Buffington. She was predeceased by her son Dr. Steven A. Wolvek.
Arrangements- A Funeral Service for Mrs. Wolvek will be held on her 95th birthday, 10 A.M, Tuesday January 19, 2016 at The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave, 06710. Burial will follow in Hebrew Benefit Cemetery, Stillson Road, Waterbury. Donations in her name may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, P.O.
