Michael Yurczyk

CHESHIRE - Michael Yurczyk, 34, passed away May 19, 2010. He was the son of John L. Yurczyk and Janet Harris.

Michael was born September 28, 1975 in New Haven and graduated from Cheshire High School in 1993. He went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Quinnipiac University with a BS in Marketing in 2002.

Michael was an avid soccer player and enjoyed playing on the Wallingford travel team, the Comets. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his son Lachlann. Michael will be missed by all.

Besides his mother Janet and her husband Lester of Cheshire and his father John and his wife Sally, Michael is survived by his son Lachlann Michael Porter of Minneapolis, Minnesota; his brothers Brian Yurczyk of Wallingford, Thomas Yurczyk of Newington, Ryan Harris and his wife Lori of NC, and Daniel Harris and his wife Stacie of VT; his sister Michelle Harris of VT; two nieces and two nephews. Michael is predeceased by his grandmother Alice Buckland and his paternal grandparents Thaddeus and Lanna Yurczyk.

Arrangements - Friends of Michael will be received at the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. on Monday May 24, 2010 from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
