CHESHIRE – Michael Wade Dickinson, 22, passed away October 12, 2014.
Michael was born on May 14, 1992, the beloved son of Mark and Patricia Dickinson. He was a 2011 graduate of Cheshire High School, where he was a captain of the cross country team, captain of the archery team, varsity wrestler, and member of the outdoor track and field team as well as an Eagle Scout. Following his graduation, Michael had earned a full United States Marine Corps scholarship at Norwich University, where he was majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology. He was the Executive Officer of the school’s Cavalry Troop. He successfully completed Officer Candidate School in Quantico, Virginia in the summer of 2014.
Besides his loving parents, Michael is survived by his dear brothers David, Brian and Jeffrey; his grandparents Phillip King and Elizabeth King and Theodore and Genevieve Dickinson; and close family members Philip and Brenda King and Tom and Karin Golden.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday October 15, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, 111 Church Drive, Cheshire. Burial will held at the convenience of the family and there are no calling hours. The family requests that a prayer be said for Michael in lieu of memorial contributions.
