Michael Casso

Mr. Michael Casso, 83, of 730 Ives Row died Tuesday May 5, 2009 at Mid State Medical Center in Meriden.

Mr. Casso was born July 25, 1925 in Waterbury a son of the late James and Sarah (Jacaruso) Casso and was a lifelong Cheshire resident. He attended Cheshire schools and had worked at Scovill, Mfg in Waterbury retiring after 42 years of service. Michael loved gardening and was an avid fisherman.

He leaves his brothers, Joseph Casso of Kensington and Brother Anthony Casso of the Our lady of LaSalette Seminary in Altamont, NY, his sisters-in-law, Louise Casso of Port Charlotte, Fl and June Casso of Meriden, his nephews, Wayne and Ronald Casso also of Ives Row in Cheshire and several other nieces and nephews in CT and Texas. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Allie and Patrick Casso.

Funeral services for Mr. Casso will be held Tuesday May 12 at 9:15 a.m. from the Slater Funeral Home 242 South Main Street in Cheshire to Saint Bridget Church 175 Main Street for a mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 5 to 9 p.m.
