Aleta Mezzo

Southington, CT Aleta "Lee" Mezzo, 80, wife of Dennis Mezzo, died peacefully on October 8, 2023 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain.

Lee was born July 21, 1943 in Johnstown, PA a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Boyle. Lee was raised in Pennsylvania and lived in Naugatuck for 51 years, until moving to Southington. She was a member of the B.P.O. Elks Lodge 967 in Naugatuck, where she enjoyed playing cards.

In addition to her husband Dennis, Lee is survived by her children, Kim and Jay Carter, Sherry and Robert Stack, Bill Bradley, Sue and John Latanowich, Bob and Eileen Mezzo, Lori and Gary Gagnon; her grandchildren, Jillian and Blake Balda, Michael Carter, Robert, Jessica, Connor, Katie and Nolan Stack, Shannon and Mike Dodds, Billy, Matthew and Jason Bradley, Alyssa and Liahna Latanowich, Nicole Boucher, Ally, Jay and Jack Mezzo, Shawn and Wesley Gagnon; and her great grandchildren, Robert, Maya, Kellan, Addison, Charlotte and Gunnar; her siblings Adella and Bill Richey, Esther Stiles, Nicole Fennessy, Pat Boyle and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lee was predeceased by her brothers, Blair and Chuck Boyle and Bill Stiles, her mother and father in law, Helen and Albert Mezzo and her sister in law, Linda Mezzo.

A Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 11:00am at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
