Naugatuck, CT Richard S. “Dick” Mezzio, 77, husband of Elsie Mezzio, died December 18, 2019 at Waterbury Hospital.
Dick was born on November 19, 1942 in Waterbury, CT the son of the late Sebastian and Marian (Sciascia) Mezzio and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Dick was a former owner of Mezzio’s Auto and Tire and Mezzio’s Pro Shop and was the current owner of Stogie’s Cigar Shop.
In addition to his wife Elsie, he leaves 2 daughters, Lisa Mezzio and Jennifer Mezzio; 2 grandsons, Michael and Jensen Mezzio; his sister and brother in law, Marilyn and John Reilly, his uncle, James Mezzio; his aunts, Nancy Payne and Grace Davison and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Per Dick’s wishes, all services will be private at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
