Naugatuck, CT Marian Mezzio, 95, the widow of Sebastian Mezzio, died peacefully on Friday, January 22, 2016 at Waterbury Hospital.
Marian was born on December 1, 1920 in Waterbury, CT a daughter of the late Joseph and Agatha (Anzardi) Sciascia and had lived in Naugatuck for most of her life. Marian was a retired employee of Peter Paul and was a parishioner of St. Vincent Ferrer Church.
Marian is survived by her son, Richard S. Mezzio and his wife Elsie of Naugatuck; her daughter, Marilyn Reilly and her husband John of Watertown; her sisters, Ann Halloran of Naugatuck and Grace Davison of Hilton Head, SC; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 10:00am at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Road. Those planning on attending the Mass are asked to please go directly to church. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. There are no calling hours and arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue.
