Marie Mentone

Southbury - Miss Marie "ReRe" Mentone, age 69, of the Southbury Trainning School, died Tuesday October 13,2009 at her home.
Marie was born in New Haven on August 8,1940 a daughter of the late Alphonse and Amelia "Molly" (Giordano) Mentone. She was a resident of Southbury Training School for many years. Marie's family would like to thank Dr. Richard Silverman and the staff of Southbury Training School for the loving and compassionate care that they provided to Marie.
Marie is survived by two sisters: Jean Canale of Naugatuck nad Noreen Vaill of West Haven, two brothers: Constable "Butch" Mentone of Prospect and Alphonse Mentone of Prospect, ten nieces and nephews and sixteen great nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held on Friday October 16,2009 at 9:15 a.m. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home 26 Waterbury Rd. Route 69 Prospect to St. Vincent Ferrer Church 1006 New Haven Rd. Naugatuck for a mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery in West Haven. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday October 15,2009 from 5 to 8 p.m.
