Waterbury - Darren J. McKenty, 44, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 12, 2014.
Mr. McKenty was born on November 10, 1969 in Messina, N.Y., a son of Gail (Tessier) McKenty and the late John McKenty. He was Executive Director for Marquee Events and Catering of Hartford.
In addition to his mother, Gail, Darren is survived by his two sisters, Diana Fairbrother of Middletown, Ct. and Denise Krouther of Beaumont Tx., and his brother, Michael McKenty of Tolland, Ct. He will also be missed by Dennis J. Sullivan IV, of Waterbury, his partner of 25 years.
The funeral service for Mr. McKenty will be held on Tuesday evening, June 17, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Rd, Rte. 69, Prospect. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening from 5:00 p.m. until the start of the service.
