James Mckelvey Sr

Beacon Falls, CT James H. McKelvey, Sr., 86, died Monday, October 12, 2015 at his home.
Jim was born on November 28, 1928 in Waterbury, CT a son of the late Chester and Catherine (Farrell) McKelvey and had worked at Scovill Manufacturing for 28 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean Conflict and he was a member of the American Legion Post 17 in Naugatuck.
Jim leaves a son, James H. McKelvey, Jr.; daughters, Pam Samms, Jane McKelvey and Debrah Pastrich; a brother, John McKelvey; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Services are Monday, October 19, 2015 at 10:00am at the CT State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown, CT. There are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
