Nancy Mccormack

Waterbury, CT Nancy Ann (Sullivan) McCormack, 87, died peacefully on March 10, 2023 at The Cheshire House surrounded by loving family.

Nancy was born November 13, 1935 in Waterbury, CT daughter of the late James Francis Sullivan and Gertrude Mae (Nadeau) (Sullivan) Tatro. Nancy attended local schools, graduated from Sacred Heart High School and formerly worked as a real estate agent. Nancy was a member of the Waterbury Civic Theatre and enjoyed acting and singing in scores of plays and musicals throughout her life.

Nancy leaves her children, her devoted daughter, Sheila M. McCormack of Southington, CT, Colin D. McCormack and Theresa Profita of New Milford, CT, Matthew D. McCormack and his wife, Joyce of Waterbury, CT, Alicia M. (McCormack) Hurley and her husband, Michael of Wolcott, CT, Eileen M. (McCormack) Cabral and her husband, Bernard Timothy of Alexandria, VA; six grandchildren, Nancy M. Hurley (and Kam Gan), William M. Hurley, James D. McCormack, Maggie Rose McCormack, Mary Rose McCormack, and Molly McCormack Cabral. In addition, Nancy is survived by her brother, William Tetreault and his wife, Kathleen of Deerfield Beach, FL. In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her stepfather, William Tatro.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11:00am at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Road, Naugatuck. Everyone attending is kindly asked to please meet directly at church. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. There are no calling hours and arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. In lieu of flowers and to honor Nancy’s memory, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
