PLANTSVILLE, CT - Maureen Warner Meadors, 83, passed away July 24, 2013 at Alzheimer's Resource Center of Connecticut in Plantsville. She was the beloved wife of 64 years to the late James R. Meadors.
She was born Feb. 6, 1930, in Petersburg, Indiana. Upon marrying her husband she moved to Washington, IN where they began raising their family and developed lifelong friends. Further moves included Cinnaminson, NJ, Wolcott, CT and Savannah, GA which she called paradise.
Maureen was an avid Bridge player, golfer, liked traveling and above all loved to cook and entertain her many friends. She was a huge College Basketball fan, enjoyed watching pro golf and discussing politics. She filled her life with love and devotion for her family. She was a member of the United Methodist Church at Skidaway Island, Savannah Georgia.
Maureen is survived by son Mark Meadors, daughter Jan Podesva and her husband Paul, Donna Meadors wife of deceased son Ryan, and loving grand children Christopher, Drew and Lauren Meadors.
Arrangements - Funeral Services and burial will be held in Savannah, GA at the convenience of the family and there will be no calling hours. The Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S Main St. is assisting with the arrangements.
