Middlebury- Maureen (Baker) Healey, 80, passed away Saturday December 13, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband John Richard "Dick" Healey.

Maureen was born June 8, 1928 in Waterbury. She was the daughter of the late George T. and Winfred (Riordon) Baker.

Maureen was a communicant of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. She attended Sacred Heart High School, Class of 1947.

Maureen is survived by three sons Timothy F. and his wife Janice Healey of Morris, CT, John R. Healey, Jr. of Middlebury, and James T. Healey of Middlebury, her two daughters, Susan and her husband William Hale of Woodbury, and Mary D'Onofrio of Cheshire, her sister Bernice Welsh of California, her eight grandchildren William and Kyle Hale, Jacqueline, Timothy, and Christopher Healey, Justin and Caitlin D'Onofrio, and Kevin Healey, she also survived many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Deborah M. Healey, three brothers Harry, George, and Donald Baker, and a sister Arlene Corden.

Maureen's undying faith and love of her family and strength was an inspiration to all that knew and loved her and will remain in our hearts forever. She treasured her beloved husband, children, grandchildren, family, many friends and especially her nephews, Anthony Corden, Brother Jude Corden, Terrance Baker and her nieces, Maureen Campion and Sharon Baker. As we celebrate our mothers life we thank God that he chose this incredible woman to be our mother. Our family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to St. Mary's Hospital ICU and Telemetry units for their extraordinary compassionate care to our mother.

Arrangements- Funeral Services for Maureen will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at 10 A.M at The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, 74 West Main Street, Waterbury. Burial will follow in Lake Elise Cemetery, Middlebury. Calling hours will be held Monday, December 15, 2008 at The Mulville Funeral Home, 270 West Main St, Waterbury from 4 to 8 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, P.O Box 7669, Atlanta, GA 30357.
