Matthew Piedescalzo

CHESHIRE - Matthew L. Piedescalzo, 25, passed away Monday, June 21. He was the son of Vincent and Karen (Lewis) Piedescalzo.

Matthew was born February 18, 1985 in New Haven. He attended Cheshire schools and graduated from Cheshire High School in 2003. He was a Psychology major at Central Connecticut State University. Matt was an extremely talented and creative musician who wrote and composed his own music on his guitars and bass. He loved going to Maine with his family for seafood dinners and to go waterskiing, fishing and canoeing. Matthew will always be remembered as a great friend who loved to make people laugh.

Besides his parents, Matthew is survived by his sisters Jillian and Karissa Piedescalzo both of Cheshire, and Amber Bialczak of Newington; his brother Christopher Piedescalzo of Windsor Locks; his Maternal Grandparents John and Gail Lewis of Kennebunk, ME and formerly of Cheshire; his Paternal Grandmother Stella Piedescalzo of Cheshire; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a nephew; and a very special family friend Marie Solimine. Matthew is predeceased by his Paternal Grandfather Vincent P. Piedescalzo.

Arrangements - Funeral services and burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main Street.
