CHESHIRE - Mary Picardi, 60, passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 30, 2010 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford after a long illness. She was the wife of Armand Picardi.
Mrs. Picardi was born May 31, 1950 in Long Beach, CA the daughter of Pearl (Photakis) Faraclas of North Carolina the late Gregory Faraclas. She was an avid Bridge player and instructor who brought the joy of bridge to many men and women in the area. She was known as a wonderful wife and loving mother. She was a very kind and generous friend who was loved by all. Mary also spent many days in her Sarasota, FL home, enjoying the beautiful beaches and sun.
Besides her mother and her husband of 28 years, Mrs. Picardi is survived by her sons Jesse Meoli of Studio City, CA and Gregory Picardi of Cheshire; her daughter Alison Picardi of Brookline, MA; her brother Nicholas Faraclas of Puerto Rico; her sister Sophie Foster and her husband Stephen of New Bern, NC; her sister-in-law Aldonna Noto and her husband Dr. Philip Noto of Woodbridge; and her nieces and nephews Erik, Ashley, Philip, Paul and Nancy.
Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 7, 2010 at 10 a.m. at St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, 480 Racebrook Road, Orange. Friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S.
