NAUGATUCK – Mary Jane Hennessey, 88, passed away Sunday August 4, 2019 at her home. She was the wife of the late James E. Hennessey.

Mrs. Hennessey was born July 23, 1931, in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Thomas and Rose (Mulkuren) Costello. She was raised in Waterbury and Wolcott and graduated Waterbury Catholic High and from Post Junior College. She has been a longtime Naugatuck resident, moving to Naugatuck in 1954. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church.

Mrs. Hennessey is survived by her sons James T. Hennessey and his wife Debora of Naugatuck, Daniel M. Hennessey and his wife Deborah of Naugatuck; her daughters Mary Ann Hennessey of Naugatuck, Linda Jane Hennessey of Waterbury, Karen Zagurski and her husband Thomas of Terryville, and Doreen Frohman and her husband Gene of Woodbridge; her brother Patrick; her 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Arrangements – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday August 10, 2019 at 11 am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck. Friends are asked to meet directly at church and there are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., 200 Executive Boulevard, Southington, CT 06489-1058. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck is assisting with arrangements.
