Mary Irene (Reilly) Crayford

NAUGATUCK - Mary Irene (Reilly) Crayford, 61, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021, at her home. She was the wife of the late William Crayford.

Mary was born February 6, 1960, in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Joseph and Barbara (Raytkwich) Reilly. She was raised in Naugatuck and was a Naugatuck High School graduate, Class of 1978. She furthered her education at Bay Path University and Paier Art School. In addition to her home town she resided in California, France, Israel, Vermont, Florida and Rhode Island before moving back to Naugatuck. She was a free spirit and a talented artist who was a loving caregiver to her son and her family.

Mary is survived by her son William of WI; her brothers Thomas Reilly, Matthew Reilly, and Timothy Reilly. In addition to her husband and her parents, Mary is predeceased by her brother Robert Reilly.

Arrangements – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at 9:30 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck. Friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to an animal rescue organization of your choice.
