Mary Z. (Zubyk) Glowasky

Mrs. Mary Z. (Zubyk) Glowasky, 93, of Bristol, passed away Tuesday February 21, 2023 surrounded by her family in the comfort of her home. She was the beloved wife of the late John Glowasky, Sr.

Mary was born May 23, 1929 in Waterbury, a daughter of the late John and Julia (Litninski) Zubyk. She spent her early years residing in Oakville and her adult life as a Bristol resident. Mary worked in various occupations and retired from United Technologies in 1991. She looked forward to family get togethers, outings with friends and enjoyed hot dogs and ice cream. Mary was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Waterbury, where in her younger years served as a choir member, Sunday School teacher and deaconess.

Mary is survived by her son John Glowasky, Jr. and his wife Ilona, her daughter Joan Glowasky, brothers William and Daniel Zubik, sisters-in-law Ruth Kuzara and Dorothy Glowasky, who resided with her; a special part of the family Leonard Lamont and many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
