CHESHIRE – Mary Catherine Meacham, 71, died at her home, in Cheshire, on February 27, 2021. Mary Catherine was born January 12, 1950 to the late Austin and Frances Meacham.
Mary Catherine was devoted to living a Consecrated Life of devotion to God. She lived her faith through attendance at daily Mass as well as participation in Eucharist Adoration and Rosary Prayer groups.
Despite the physical limitations of chronic illness, Mary Catherine enjoyed a good laugh and was very attached to her family. She documented many family functions and could be easily found by the telltale sound of a camera snapping a picture and the spooling of film. You could always count on receiving a card covered with stickers for every occasion.
Her daily routine started with Mass, followed by a stop at the Dollar Store and Stop & Shop. The rest of her day was typically spent on phone calls with friends and family, various appointments, and ended with covering the canary for bed before listening to Recitation of the Rosary. Before retiring, she worked as a CMA for several doctors in New Haven and for Robert Schlessell, M.D. for over 35 years.
