Mary Barone

CHESHIRE- Mary "Mae" G. Barone, 87, passed away Tuesday January 18, 2011 at Mid- State Medical Center in Meriden. She was the wife of Vernier Barone.

Mae was born June 29, 1923 in Waterbury, CT daughter of the late William Nelson and Martha (Stevens) Goodall.

She was a graduate of Wilby High School. She was employed at Union Trust Bank where she was Assistant Manager prior to her retirement.

Besides her husband Mae is survived by a daughter Donna and her husband Robb Scheetz of Clairmont; FL; a sister Martha G. Sullivan of Cheshire; and three granddaughters Megan and Jennifer Hurley, and Alexis Scheetz. She was predeceased by a brother in law Joseph F. Sullivan.

Arrangements- A Mass of Christian Burial for Mae will be held Monday January 24, 2011 at St. Bridget Church, 175 Main Street, Cheshire, 06410 at 11 A.M. Friends and family are asked to gather directly at church. Burial will follow in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery, Wallingford Rd. There are no calling hours. Donations in Mae's name may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
