Martin Vincent Fazio, age 87, of Cheshire passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 20, 2018. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on June 20, 1930 to Josephine Leguori and James Fazio, Martin leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Lucy Sollecito Fazio; brother and sister-in-law Eugene and Marion Fazio; daughters Lydia Fazio Theys and Patti Fazio; sons-in-law John Theys and Michael Sullivan; and grandchildren Colin Theys, Natalie Theys, Matthew Sullivan and Claire Sullivan. His parents and his first wife, Natalie Amato Fazio, preceded him in death.
Martin graduated from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn with a degree in Industrial Art. He was Packaging and Marketing Manager for Sears in Manhattan and later for Stanley Works in New Britain, CT. He was a talented artist and maintained an active interest in art throughout his life. He loved Fred Astaire movies; the NY Yankees; classical music; clocks and watches; and, of course, his family, who will miss him greatly.
Friends may greet Martin’s family at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 So. Main St., Cheshire, CT 06410 on Friday, March 23, 2018 from 1PM until 4PM.
