Martin Leech

Cheshire ' Martin G. Leech, 88, of Cheshire, passed away August 12, 2009 at the Highlands Health Care Center in Cheshire. He was the husband of Katherine E. (Hogan) Leech.

Mr. Leech was born September 3, 1920 in Greenwich the son of the late Martin and Winifred (Smith) Leech. He was a WWII Army Veteran. He was the Owner and Operator of Leech and Hogan Construction Company in Greenwich until his retirement in 1987. Before moving to Cheshire in 1999, Mr. Leech was a longtime Riverside resident. Mr. Leech was also a communicant of St. Bridget Church in Cheshire.

Besides his wife of 63 years, Mr. Leech is survived by his daughters Katherine Napoli and her husband Richard of Cheshire, Barbara L. Smith of Cheshire, Michele L. Martin and her husband Daniel of Trumbull, and Martha Leech of Cheshire; a sister Cecilia Malinak of Brookfield; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Mr. Leech is predeceased by his sisters Mary, Ellen and Lillian.

Arrangements ' Funeral services will be held on Friday August 14, 2009 10:15 from the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. to St. Bridget Church for Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 9:30 at the funeral home until the funeral procession leaves for church.
