Martha F. Mencseli

Martha F. Mencseli, 61, of Cheshire, beloved wife of Miklos Mencseli, died on September 2, 2024. She was born in Middletown, CT in 1963 to the late John and Ruth Freeburg.

Martha graduated from Portland High School in 1981. Martha then went on to attend the University of Connecticut before working 37 years as a Clinical Dietician at Gaylord Specialty Healthcare. She thoroughly enjoyed her work and made many friends along the way.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, and is survived by her husband Miklos, children Justin and Becky, five siblings, and many nieces and nephews.

Contributions may be made to Closer to Free Fund/Smilow Cancer Hospital or Connecticut Hospice.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home, 615 South Main St., Cheshire, CT. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 59 Main St., Cheshire, CT. Please meet directly at church. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, 400 Christian St., Wallingford, CT.
