CLEVELAND, TN- Marlene Taylor, 84, of Cleveland, TN formerly of Naugatuck, passed away on July 31th, 2015 in her own home.
She was born in Roscoe, IL on August 4th, 1930 to the late Wilber Adwell and the former Margaret Baker. Mrs. Taylor was a loving wife of thirty two years and a wonderful mother and grandmother.
She was a dedicated military wife and was very patriotic. Mrs. Taylor enjoyed sewing, reading and just being at home. She was a Historian for the Naugatuck United Methodist Church; she wrote a book that did not get a chance to be published, and in the 1940’s she was a member of the Quill and Scroll Society.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; Joseph Taylor, one brother; Mark Adwell, and one sister. She is survived by one daughter; Colette Taylor, two sisters; Betty Edwards, Lucille Caples, and one granddaughter.
Arrangements- A Graveside Service for Marlene will be held 11 A.M Saturday October 24, 2015 at New Pine Grove Cemetery, 850 Meriden Road, Waterbury, 06705. Burial will follow after the service and there are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St, 06770, is assisting with the arrangements.
