Mark Schumacher

Mark Schumacher, age 77, of Naugatuck entered into rest on January 4, 2017 at the Glendale Center in Naugatuck. He was the devoted husband of Jayne (McCulloch) Schumacher for over 41 years. Mark was born on May 13, 1939 in Manhattan, NY, son of the late Joachim and Sylvia (Zangger) Schumacher.

Mr. Schumacher was a longtime Naugatuck resident, coming from Milford in 2004. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Trinity College and enjoyed music and playing guitar.

He is the beloved father of Scott Schumacher of Pennsylvania and Brian Schumacher of Kansas. Mark is also survived by his sister, Noelle Januszewski of Illinois.

Funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of his family and there are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, CT Chapter, 200 Executive Blvd., Southington, CT 06489-1058. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck is assisting with his arrangements.
