Cheshire - Mark Santoro, 63, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Kathleen (Keppel) Santoro.
Mark was born January 8, 1955 in Waterbury, a son of the late Joseph and Catherine (Mecca) Santoro. He was a Technical Sales Representative, most recently for Chemetall, an international chemical company, where his ability to forge strong personal relationships drove a long and successful career.
Mark’s Italian heritage led to a lifelong passion for cooking and fine wine, and he was renowned by all who tried his famous eggplant parm. He was thrilled to see his beloved Boston Red Sox, New York Giants, and UConn Huskies all win a number of championships, and to attend many of their games with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife of 35 years, Mark is survived by his daughter, Michelle (Santoro) Ocampo, and her husband, Andrew, his son, Joseph Santoro, and his wife, Christian, and his golden retriever Ruby, a close companion of his the past few years. He also leaves behind his brother, William Santoro, his sister, Catherine (Santoro) Brown, and a loving extended family.
Arrangements - Funeral services for Mr. Santoro will be held Tuesday January 30, 2018, at 9:15 a.m. from the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St. to Holy Angels Church, 585 Main St, South Meriden, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in New St. Bridget’s Cemetery, Cheshire. Calling hours will be held on Monday, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
