Mark Murphy

Mr. Mark F. Murphy, 57, of Waterbury died Tuesday April 14, 2009 at the Bucks Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness.

Mark was born September 4, 1951 in Southington a son of the late Frederick T. and Marion (Hummel) Murphy. He was a graduate of Wolcott High School Class of 1969 and attended Curry College in Milton, Massachusetts. He was a lifelong car enthusiast and a self employed automobile mechanic.

He is survived by his son Christopher Murphy and his wife Susana of Massachusetts, his daughter Allison Murphy of New York, his brother Luke Murphy and his wife Kate of Wolcott, his grandchildren, Jessica and Julia Murphy of Massachusetts and his niece and nephew Lauren Murphy and Fred Murphy of Wolcott and many cousins and extended family including Catherine Parziale of Waterbury, Betsy Murphy of Wolcott and Karen Murphy of Massachusetts.

The Murphy family wishes to thank all of the wonderful friends and extended family members for their support, especially The Bucks Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center 2817 North Main Street Waterbury, CT 06704 and the Masonicare Home Health and Hospice 33 North Plains Industrial Road Wallingford, Ct 06492 for the excellent compassionate care given to Mark and his family in this most difficult time.

Funeral services for Mark will be held Monday at 9:15 a.m. from the Mulville Funeral Home 270 West Main Street, Waterbury to the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception 74 West Main Street for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will be in All Saint's Cemetery at the convenience of his family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.
