Mark Durkee

Middletown- Mark F. Durkee, 48, formerly of Cheshire passed away March 18, 2010 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford after a brief illness.

Mark was born December 11, 1961 in Cortland, NY the son of Florence (Durkee) Telecsan and the late Thomas Durkee. He was a long time Cheshire resident and graduate of Cheshire High School Class of 1981. He was a certified class II truck driver, followed by a self employed handy man and landscaper.

Besides his mother Florence and her husband Carl of Little River, SC, Mark is survived by his son and daughter, Mark and Sarah Durkee of Plainville CT; his former wife Maureen Gnazzo of Plainville; his three brothers Steve Durkee and his wife Betsy of Cheshire, Scott Durkee of Meriden and Peter Durkee of Bristol; his sisters Kathy Gauthier and her husband Larry of Irmo, SC and Lori Wilson and her husband Bob of Chesterfield, VA as well as several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements - A Memorial Mass for Mark will be held on Friday March 26, 2010 at 12 pm at St. Bridget Church 175 Main Street Cheshire. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. is assisting with arrangements.
