Marion Moruska

NAUGATUCK- Mrs. Marion (Boyd) Moruska, 87, of Naugatuck, passed away Thursday morning July 5, 2012 at the Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of George Moruska.

Mrs. Moruska was born in Ayrshire, Scotland, June 21, 1925, a daughter of the late William and Jean (McVie) Boyd and immigrated to this country with her family as a young child, settling in Naugatuck. She was a retired employee of Meyers Supply Co. and previously worked at Peter Paul Candy in Naugatuck. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Naugatuck and enjoyed working with Ceramics.

She leaves two sons, Brian A. Moruska of Naugatuck, with whom she made her home and George Moruska of South Carolina; one brother, William Boyd of Palm Coast, Fl.; two sisters, Janet Dettmar of Palm Coast, Fl. and Catherine La Rosa of Wolcott; one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Jean Membrino.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 7, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery, Cross St., Naugatuck. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
