Marie C. Lestage, age 82, of Waterbury entered into rest on Monday, November 25, 2019 at Waterbury Hospital. Marie was born on June 18, 1937 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Anello “Neal” and Eunice (Canavan) Mautino.
She was a resident of Waterbury for most of her life but had also lived in Tampa, FL in the 1980’s initially and again later in life; she worked as a CNA and an electronic assembler. Marie cheered for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the NY Yankees, and enjoyed crossword puzzles and her dear cat, Cleo.
Marie is the beloved mother of Lois Lestage of Waterbury and Karen Lestage and her longtime companion, Stewart Rosen of Wolcott; and is survived by her cherished grandson, Neil Rosen. She was predeceased by her son, Mark Lestage.
Marie’s family would like to thank and extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation for the compassionate care and friendliness given to Marie from both the Waterbury Gardens staff and the Cook Willow staff.
Funeral Services for Marie will be private and at the convenience of her family.
