MIDDLEBURY - Marie A. Perrotti, 95, formerly of Naugatuck, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017 at Middlebury Convalescent Home. She was the devoted wife of the late Sam F. Perrotti, who passed away in 2012.
Mrs. Perrotti was born February 6, 1921 in Naugatuck, the daughter of the late Anthony and Catherine (Nardello) Pesanelli. She had a very strong work ethic and was employed for over 20 years at Uniroyal Chemical. After her retirement from Uniroyal, she worked at Hop Brook School as a secretary, always with affection and caring for the children. She was a Communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church, and a member of the Catholic Council. Mrs. Perrotti loved the opera, and also her vacations with Sam on Cape Cod. She was known for her homemade pizza, and for her apple pies, making two per day and giving them to family and friends.
She is survived by her loving daughter Caroline L. Perrotti of Washington, DC; her brothers Michael Pesanelli of Naugatuck, and Felix Pesanelli of Cape Cod; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Mrs. Perrotti is predeceased by her sister, Louise Alex.
Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017, 10:30 A.M. from the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow Street, to St. Francis of Assisi Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday morning from 9:30 A.M. until the procession leaves for the church. Memorial contributions may be made to an organization of the donor's choice with the understanding that your presence at the funeral is your gift.
