Teresa Mariano

Teresa M. Mariano of 60 Hickory Rd., Naugatuck, CT, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital. Teresa was born in Waterbury, CT, on April 12, 1928, to the late Anthony and Delia (Sabia) Mariano.

She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Waterbury and Temple University in Pennsylvania. She retired from St. Raphael’s Hospital in New Haven.

Teresa’s favorite activities were traveling to Cape Cod and Florida, the casinos, lunching with many friends, golfing, bowling, and watching UConn basketball. She valued family above all, and she welcomed generations to her home.

Teresa is survived by many cousins and their spouses and children. She was a special “aunt” to Cary Lucian of Encinitas, CA, and Scott Lucian of Southington, CT, and a longtime friend of Carol Perrotti of Woodbridge, CT, and Donald and Maureen Lucian of Florida.

There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, at 9 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck, CT. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck.
