Maria Urbano

CHESHIRE - Maria (Riccio) Urbano, 84, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Armando Urbano who passed away in August.

Mrs. Urbano was born July 5, 1938, in Ruviano, Italy the daughter of the late Pasquale and Josephine (Inzero) Riccio.  A loving mother who came to America in 1966, Mrs. Urbano was happiest when she was surrounded by family, friends and good food on the large kitchen table.  Even though she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s 27 years ago, she never let it define her.

Mrs. Urbano is survived by her sons, James Urbano and his wife Deb, and Virgilio Urbano; her siblings Rosa, Tecla, Ersilia, Silvia, Antonio, and Giovanni; her great friends, Bernardo and Rosa Urbano and Mario and Nancy Mastrioanni; her grandchildren Joseph, Matthew, Anthony, Jessica, and Christina Urbano, plus numerous nephews and nieces and their families in the United States and Italy.  In addition to her parents and her husband, she is predeceased by her siblings Ariste and Teresa.
