Maria Arisco

Cheshire ' Maria M. Arisco, 89, of Marion Rd. passed away Tuesday August 4, 2009 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut Bradley Memorial in Southington. She was the wife of the late Michael Arisco.

Mrs. Arisco was born November 9, 1919 in Sturno Avellino, Italy the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Nuziella (Anzalone) Stanco. She came to the United States in 1939 from Italy and had been a Cheshire resident since 1941. She enjoyed being with family and friends and will always be remembered as someone who would have a wonderful meal prepared in a moments notice. She was a communicant of the Church of the Epiphany.

Mrs. Arisco is survived by her three sons Michael, Anthony, and Alex all of Cheshire; her two daughters Susan Arisco of Marion and Nancy LeRoy of Farmington; her sister Elena of Argentina; 10 grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. She is predeceased by her son Edward J. Arisco; her 4 sisters and her brother.

Arrangements ' Funeral services will be held on Friday August 7, 2009 9:15 from the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. to the Church of the Epiphany for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
