Marguerite Jeffrey

Cheshire Marguerite Jeffrey, 89, of Old Saybrook and formerly of Branford and Cheshire, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 30, 2008 at the Gladeview Healthcare Center. She was the wife of her beloved husband, the late John Jeffrey, for 63 years.Mrs. Jeffrey was born October 18, 1919 in New Haven the daughter of the late Percival and Marguerite (Mulligan) McNeil. She lived most of her days in New Haven County.Mrs. Jeffrey is survived by her three sons, John Jack R. Jeffrey of Colorado, Ronald C. Jeffrey of Old Saybrook, and Robert K. Jeffrey of East Hartford; a sister Dorothy Victor of Orange; a brother Eugene MacNeil of Orange; and two grandchildren Mariah and Alyssa Jeffrey. She was predeceased by her sister Virginia A. McNeil and Edward R. McNeil. Arrangements - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday November 6, 2008 at 10 a.m. at St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St. Cheshire. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 1 Union St., Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691. The Slater Funeral Home, 242 S. Main St. is in charge of arrangements.
