Margaret Maddaloni

Stamford - Margaret Maddaloni, 64, formerly of Cheshire, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, after a valiant and fearless fight with cancer at Regional Hospice in Danbury.

Marg was born July 1, 1958, in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Floyd and Helen (Ardzijauskas) Blansfield.  She was raised in Cheshire and was a talented special education teacher for the Wolcott School System for her entire career. A truly selfless and loving mother and grandmother, she was active in her children’s lives and immersed herself in photography creating astonishing crafts.

Marg is survived by her daughters Jen Potokin and her husband Jon, and Melissa Backus and her husband Donovan; her grandchildren Dan and Ben Potokin, and Roselyn Backus; as well as her former husband Paul Maddaloni. She was predeceased by her infant son, Eddie. Marg’s family extends warm gratitude to the staff at Stamford Hospital and Regional Hospice for the compassionate and dignified care that they provided for her throughout her illness.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 11 am at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St.  Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery.  A period of visitation will be held on Thursday from 10 am until the start of the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to Regional Hospice ATTN: Philanthropy Department 30 Milestone Road, Danbury, CT 06810.
