Waterbury - Margaret Gow, 100, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the home of her son Andrew. She was the wife of the late James A. Gow.
Mrs. Gow was born February 13, 1915 in Naugatuck, the daughter of the late John B. and Estelle (Gladding) Cuddy. She worked for U.S. Rubber as a Joiner until 1940 when she left to raise her family. She was a very kind woman and made friends where ever she went. All her children were with her on her 100th birthday and she was able to see her grandchildren via Skype from around the world. She received birthday wishes from around the world from people who she had met in her lifetime.
She is survived by her three sons; Roger of London, England, Andrew of Wallingford, and Stephen of Waterbury; her two daughters, Ellen Smith of Wallingford and Estelle Gow of Campbell, CA; as well as her 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Ronald D. Gow.
Arrangements – Funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family and there are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers and gifts memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
