Mrs. Margaret R. (Sullivan) Deveikis, 76, of Oakville died Sunday December 28, 2008 at her home.
Mrs. Deveikis was born February 25, 1932 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Richard Sullivan and Catherine (Neville) (Sullivan) Shea and had also lived in Florida and Alabama. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School and was a Retail Manager and Buyer for many years, having worked at the Paradise Shop of Old Towne. She enjoyed home decorating and arts and crafts.
She leaves her son, Phillip Maluck of Kissimmee, Florida, her daughters, Catherine Velardi and her husband Ottavio of Oakville with whom she resided, Tanya Craig and her husband Jerry of Alabama and Grace Smith of Kissimmee, Florida, 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Richard Straub.
Funeral services for Mrs. Deveikis will be held Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. from the Mulville Funeral Home 270 West Main Street to Saint Mary Magdalen Church 145 Buckingham Street, Oakville for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will be in New Saint Joseph Cemetery in Waterbury at the convenience of her family.
