CHESHIRE- Margaret (Kalmbacher) Bastien, 92, passed away peacefully Friday November 2, 2012 at Masonicare Hospice in Wallingford.
Margaret was born January 15, 1920 in Rochester, NY daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Schmitt) Kalmbacher. She graduated from Nazareth Academy and worked briefly at Bausch and Lomb.
She belonged to St. Bridget Parish, enjoyed needlework, baking, and family vacations.
Margaret is survived by a son Robert J. and his wife Christine Bastien of Shelton; two daughters Jean M. Bastien of Oakton, VA, and Susan A. Bastien of Cheshire; a sister Marie Aman of St. Petersburg, FL; five grandsons Edward, Jamie, David, Patrick, and Adam Bastien; a granddaughter Sarah (Bastien) Phung; a foster granddaughter Denise (Mero) Brown; a great granddaughter Emmalyn Phung; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Charles Kalmbacher, and a sister Helen (Kalmbacher) Beth.
Arrangements- Her funeral will be held Wednesday November 7, 2012 10:30 A.M from The Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St, 06410 to St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St, Cheshire, 06410 for a Mass at 11 A.M. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 9:30 A.M until the precession leaves for church.
