Marette B. Ferguson

CHESHIRE, CT - Marette B. Ferguson, 89, formerly of Pittsburgh and Orlando, passed away Friday, December 25, 2015 at Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford, CT. She was the wife of the late Raymond W. Ferguson who passed away in 2009.

Mrs. Ferguson was born October 4, 1926 in Port Arthur, TX, the daughter of the late Stanton E. and Mary (Patterson) Boney. Before moving to CT in 2008, she was an active member of the University Unitarian Universalist Society in Orlando, Florida. She was a special education teacher who enjoyed traveling with her family and vacationed all over the world. In her spare time she carried on the family tradition of quilting.

Mrs. Ferguson is survived by her children Janneane F. Gent of Cheshire, CT, Stuart R. Ferguson of Denver, CO and Lynn Ferguson Riggs of Falls Church, VA; as well as her five grandchildren Alison, Emily, Charlotte, Robin, and Peter.

Arrangements – Funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Brenham, TX and there are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Doctors Without Borders or the ACLU. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire is assisting with arrangements.
