CHESHIRE- Madeline C. Link, 98, passed away Monday April 14, 2014 at Apple Rehab of Watertown. She was predeceased by her husband of fifty nine years James A. Link.
She was born January 15, 1916 in New Haven daughter of the late George and Bertha (Howland) Cuny.
Madeline was a Teacher in the Cheshire Public School System prior to her retirement, and was a communicant of St. Bridget Church.
She is survived by a son James P. and his wife Christine Link of Bethany; a daughter Patricia Alvey of Bethlehem; a sister Bertha Finnigan; four grandchildren Sandra Del Favero of Andover, MA, Kathryn Jensen of Bristol, Gregory Alvey of Thomaston, and Robert Alvey of Bethlehem; and six great grandchildren Alexander, Jacob, Abigail, Violet, Scarlett, and Karissa.
Madeline's family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Apple Rehab for the care and compassion they showed her during her stay.
Arrangements- Madeline's funeral will be held 9:15 A.M Wednesday April 16, 2014 from the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire and proceed to St. Bridget Church, 175 Main Street, Cheshire for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery, Higgins Road, Cheshire. Calling hours will be held 8:30 A.M until the procession leaves for church at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations in her name may be made to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Drive, Wallingford, CT 06492.
