William Madden

Cheshire – William G. Madden, 96, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Highland Health Care Center in Cheshire. He was the husband of the late Phyllis Madden.

William was born on November 22, 1918, in Naugatuck, a son of the late William and Josephine (Moran) Madden. He was a longtime Naugatuck resident and a 1936 graduate of Naugatuck High School. For many years, he was the co-owner and president of Connecticut Manufacturing Company in Waterbury, Ct.

Mr. Madden served in the U.S. Maritime Service during WW II, as a second engineer.

William is survived by his sister Ellen Flaherty and his brother Joseph Madden and his wife Ann Madden all from Cheshire. He will also be missed by his sister-in-law, Barbra Madden, and by his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Edward and George Madden.

A memorial service for Mr. Madden will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
