Germantown, Maryland- Lucille B. Seymour, 80, passed away peacefully at her daughter Patricia's home on Monday, March 22, 2010 after a long illness. Lucille was the wife of the late L. Robert Seymour.
Lucille was born in Waterbury on December 13, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Mary Grace (DeNicola) Biondi. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School. She went to work for the Torrington Supply Company then took time out to raise her children. She went to work as a teacher's aide at both Bunker Hill and Carrington Schools. She became active with the Republican Town Committee at that time. Lucille then returned to work at Torrington Supply until her retirement in 1999. She was a Communicant of Our Lady of Loreto Church.
During retirement, Lucille gave her time as a volunteer at Waterbury Hospital and the Waterbury Public Schools. A loving mother and grandmother, she enjoyed visiting with her children and grandchildren. She was an avid bridge player, and took pleasure in getting together and traveling with "the girls". She had many long lasting friendships from her lifetime of living in Waterbury.
She is survived by two sons, Robert M. Seymour of Atlanta, GA. and Christopher D. Seymour and his wife Lynn of Watertown and one daughter Patricia Karta and her husband Glenn of Germantown, MD. She also leaves one brother Albert J. Biondi and his wife Mary of Wolcott and a sister Marge Candido of Waterbury. Lucille will be mostly missed by her grandchildren Robbie, Paige, Michael, Alison, Billy and Annie. She was predeceased by her brothers Anthony and Andrew Biondi and sisters Louise DeCicco and Concetta Cicchetti.
Arrangements-A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday March 31, at Our Lady of Loreto Church 12 Ardsley Rd Waterbury at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at the church. Burial will be in New Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday March 30, from 5 to 8 pm. at The Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury 9 Holmes Ave. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Montgomery Hospice 1355 Piccard Dr. Ste.100 Rockville, Md.20850.
