Cheshire - Lucille Carlino, 64, of Cheshire, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, Sunday March 14, 2010 at her home after a long and courageous battle with leukemia. She was the wife and childhood sweetheart of the late Joseph Carlino, to whom she was married 34 years.
Mrs. Carlino was born January 11, 1946 in Manhattan, NY the daughter of the late Vincent and Mary (Pazienza) Guido. She was a long time resident of Cheshire, recently retiring from Microtech in Cheshire after many years in their purchasing department. She was also the former President of J and L Carpet Workman; a family owned and operated business in West Haven. She was a member of the Waterbury Chapter of the Columbiettes and enjoyed playing Mahjong.
Mrs. Carlino is survived by her daughter Christine Carlino and her companion Cliff Berube, with whom she made her home; her brother Daniel Guido and his wife Terry of Union, NJ; her two sisters Ann Barcia and her husband Joseph of Southbury and Virginia Freidah and her companion Paul Moringiello of St. Petersburg, FL; her daughter-in-law Heather Carlino of Cheshire; the light of her life, her five grandchildren Salvatore, Jessica, Danielle, Caitlyn and Matthew; several nieces, nephews and dear friends. She is predeceased by her sons Robert and Joseph as well as her sister Rita Lucente.
Arrangements - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday March 18, 2010, 9:15 from the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. to Church of the Epiphany for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
