CHESHIRE - Louis Luciani Jr., 86, passed away Wednesday May 22, 2013 at Elim Park Baptist Home. He was the husband of Karen (Sutherland) Luciani.
Mr. Luciani was born July 26, 1926 in New Haven the son of the late Louis and Julia (Testa) Luciani. He owned and operated Lou's Deli in New Haven and was employed by Operating Engineers Union Local 478 as a construction worker. He was a 45 year resident of Cheshire and belonged to Hamden Fish and Game Club. He was an avid UCONN Basketball and New York Yankee fan.
Besides his wife of 45 years, Mr. Luciani is survived by his daughter Cindi Jackson and her husband Jay of Marlton, NJ; his brother Eugene of Torrington; his sister Rose Sette of Coral Springs, FL; his grandchildren Haley and Krista; as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his son Scott and his brothers Frank, Vito and William.
Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 25, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Yalesville Methodist Church 8 New Place St., Yalesville. Burial will follow in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. Friends will be received by the family at the church from 10 a.m. until the service begins at 11. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, P.O.
