Louis J. D'Amato

CHESHIRE - Louis J. D'Amato, 68, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Mid State Medical Center, Meriden. He was the husband of Millie D'Amato.

Mr. D'Amato was born September 30, 1946 in New Haven, the son of the late Louis and Anna (Maio) D'Amato. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Prospect V.F.W. Post 8075.

In addition to his wife of 43 years, Mr. D'Amato is survived by his daughters Talia Kurtz and Tasha D'Amato both of Cheshire; his grandchildren Chloe Kurtz, Carley Kurtz, and Jack Kurtz; his sister Jane DelPomo of West Haven; his Sister-in-law, Teresa Amiot and her husband James as well as many Nieces and Nephews.

Arrangements - Funeral services will be held Saturday February 14, 2015, 9:15 from the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main Street, to St. Bridget Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown. Calling hours will be held Friday from 5 - 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Prospect V.F.W. Post 8075, 218 Cheshire Road, Prospect, CT 06712.
