Louis Francis Jannetty, age 92, of Cheshire entered into rest on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at The Summit at Plantsville. He was the devoted husband of the late Reita (Parmelee) Jannetty for over 65 years. Louis was born on October 3, 1929 in Waterbury, son of the late Louis O. and Helen (Blomgren) Jannetty.
Lou was the owner and operator of Lou-Jan Tool and Die in Cheshire, having opened the business in 1966 with his wife, Reita. He was a lover of dogs and had many “Scotties” over the years, although in recent years, it was “Buddy”, his Boston Bull Terrier that was his faithful companion. Lou’s favorite pastime was being out on his boat and fishing. He had many cherished friends and he enjoyed playing Pinochle and Cribbage with several of them.
He is the beloved father of Louis Jannetty and his wife, Maricris of Cheshire; Mike Jannetty and his wife, Janice of Estero, FL; Vincent Jannetty and his wife, Darla of Cocoa Beach, FL; Suzanne MacLellan and her husband, David of Greenville, RI; and his son-in-law, Paul Struble of Cumberland, RI. Lou also leaves his 9 loving grandchildren and 10 cherished great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his daughter Kathy Struble.
Friends may greet Lou’s family at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 So. Main Street, Cheshire, CT 06410 on Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 10AM until 11AM. At 11AM his funeral service will be held in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery, Higgins Road, Cheshire.
