Louis Anthony Amici

Louis Anthony Amici, 61 of Waterbury, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Louis was born March 10, 1961 in Waterbury, CT, son of the late Dick and Mary (Duffy) Amici. He was a graduate of Holy Cross High School, earned his undergraduate degree from Manhattanville College and his Master’s Degree in Chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Louis was Research Chemist, having worked at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine as well as Yale New Haven. He loved music and sang for several seasons with the Waterbury Chorale. Louis also had a DJ business where he was known as DJ Brother Lou. He loved spending time in Weekapaug, Rhode Island and worked with Misquamicut Business Association. Louis was a communicant of Saint Bridget of Sweden Parish in Cheshire.

He leaves to his cherished memory his sister Dawn Borecki and her husband Richard, his brothers, Steven R. Amici, Michael A. Amici and Jonathan A. Amici and many loving nephews, a niece and many cousins. Louis was predeceased by his brother Daniel C. Amici.

Funeral services for Louis will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 9:15 a.m. from the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire 615 South Main Street to St. Bridget of Sweden Parish-St. Bridget Church 175 Main Street in Cheshire for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Riverbend Cemetery in Westerly, Rhode Island at 12:30 p.m. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Heart Transplant Program at Yale NH Hospital.
